Legal
Terms of service.
These terms govern your use of Afro Placements and the recruitment services we provide. Please read them carefully before creating an account.
Last updated: 17 May 2026.
1. Definitions
"Afro Placements", "we", "us" and "our" mean the legal entity operating the website at afroplacements.com, its dashboards and its associated recruitment services. "You" means the individual creating an account and/or submitting an application. "Services" means the recruitment, vetting, matching, placement support and related services offered through the platform. "Employer" means an independent third-party entity offering paid work outside Nigeria that we have vetted and presented to candidates.
2. Eligibility
To create an account and apply you must (a) be a Nigerian national or ordinarily resident in Nigeria; (b) be at least 18 years old; (c) have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts; and (d) comply with the eligibility criteria published on our Eligibility page. We may refuse, suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or that submit false or misleading information.
3. Fees
Fees are described on our Fees page. The legal fee is paid directly to Kislev Attorneys; the consultancy fee is paid to Afro Placements. No fee of any kind is collected before your application has been formally approved. Anyone claiming to represent us and asking for payment before approval is committing fraud and should be reported to us immediately.
4. Your obligations
- Provide accurate, truthful information at every step.
- Upload only documents that belong to you and are unaltered.
- Respond to vetting and reference requests in a reasonable time.
- Follow the lawful instructions of the employer you accept a placement with.
- Not use the platform to harass, defraud or harm any other user.
5. Our obligations
- Apply our published vetting standards to every employer we present to candidates.
- Disclose all fees, who they are paid to, and when.
- Keep your personal data secure and process it under our Privacy policy.
- Provide a clear channel to report mistreatment or fraud.
- Operate in compliance with applicable Nigerian recruitment, labour and anti-trafficking law.
6. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund policy. The legal fee paid to Kislev Attorneys is non-refundable once professional services have been rendered.
7. Prohibited conduct
You may not (a) impersonate another person; (b) use the platform to recruit on someone else's behalf without our written permission; (c) upload malicious files; (d) attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or otherwise interfere with the platform; or (e) offer or accept any payment, benefit or inducement intended to bypass our vetting process.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these terms, suspected fraud, or if we are required to do so by law or by a competent authority. You may close your account at any time by emailing us; doing so does not waive any obligations you may have under an active placement contract with an employer.
9. Disclaimers
Afro Placements is a recruitment platform; we are not the employer. We do not pay your salary, set your working conditions, or supervise your work abroad — those obligations sit with the employer you contract with. We exercise reasonable care in our vetting but do not guarantee any particular outcome of an application or placement.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Nigerian courts, without prejudice to your right to seek consumer-protection remedies under any applicable foreign law where you are placed.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new effective date. Material changes will be notified by email to registered account holders. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
