Legal
Refund policy.
A short, honest refund policy. Read it carefully before you pay the consultancy fee.
Last updated: 17 May 2026.
1. Legal fee
The legal fee is paid directly to Kislev Attorneys in Nigeria for professional services already rendered (clearance paperwork, contract review, attestations). The exact amount is disclosed in your applicant account on approval. Once professional services have been performed this fee is non-refundable. The lawyer's engagement terms govern any narrow exceptions; we have no authority to refund what we did not collect.
2. Consultancy fee
The consultancy fee is paid to Afro Placements on a confirmed placement, before departure. The exact amount is disclosed in your applicant account at placement, alongside the signed offer letter. It is refundable under the following circumstances:
- Placement falls through before departure due to causes outside your control (visa denial despite full cooperation, employer withdraws the offer, employer fails verification): full refund minus any third-party costs already incurred on your behalf (e.g. visa application fees), itemised.
- Material breach by the employer within 30 days of arrival (salary not paid as contracted, working conditions materially different from the signed contract, retention of passport): full refund. We will also help relocate you and pursue the employer.
- You withdraw before departure for personal reasons: 50% refund if more than 14 days before the scheduled departure date; no refund inside the final 14 days.
- You leave the placement after arrival of your own accord (other than for safety / breach reasons above): no refund.
3. How to request a refund
Email info@afroplacements.com with your reference number, a short explanation, and any supporting evidence (employer correspondence, visa decision letter, etc.). We respond within 5 working days. Approved refunds are processed within a further 10 working days via the original payment method where possible.
4. Disputes
If we cannot agree on a refund, you may seek resolution through any consumer-protection body with jurisdiction over the dispute (in Nigeria, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission). Nothing in this policy waives statutory rights you have under Nigerian law.
