Afro Placements

Anti-trafficking statement

Zero tolerance, fully accountable.

Afro Placements operates under Nigerian law in full compliance with the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015, and the standards set by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

Our commitments

Every applicant we work with has the right to be told the truth, paid fairly, treated humanely, and given a clear way to seek help if something goes wrong. We commit to the following standards on every placement, without exception:

  • No fees before approval. We do not collect any money — by cash, transfer, gift card, mobile money or any other method — before your application has been formally approved.
  • Full fee disclosure. All fees, who they are paid to, when, and what they cover are published on this site and repeated in every email.
  • Vetted employers only. We do not knowingly place candidates with employers who withhold passports, restrict movement, deny rest days, or fail to pay the salary stated in the written contract.
  • Written contracts in a language you understand. Every placement is governed by a written contract reviewed by our legal partner before you sign.
  • Right to withdraw. You may withdraw your application at any point before departure. If you have paid the consultancy fee and a placement falls through due to causes outside your control, our refund policy applies.
  • Safe channels to report abuse. Any candidate or placed worker can contact us directly, anonymously if needed, to report mistreatment by an employer or by anyone claiming to represent us.

Indicators of trafficking

Trafficking is the recruitment, transport or harbouring of people through deception or coercion for the purpose of exploitation. Warning signs include: being charged inflated fees before approval; promises of jobs that don't match the role discussed; pressure to sign documents in a language you don't read; an employer or agent asking to hold your passport; restrictions on contacting family; threats about debt repayment; and salaries paid in cash without records.

How to report

If you experience or witness any of the above — whether attributed to Afro Placements or to anyone else — please report it. We will investigate and, where appropriate, escalate to NAPTIP and the Nigerian Police Force.
